Gail is an arts administrator and curator, independent board director and dental entrepreneur. A graduate of the UNC Adams School of Dentistry, she founded Southpoint Family Dentistry in 2007 and provided care to 5000+ Durham, NC residents.

Gail is an arts administrator and curator, independent board director and dental entrepreneur. A graduate of the UNC Adams School of Dentistry, she founded Southpoint Family Dentistry in 2007 and provided care to 5000+ Durham, NC residents. 

Gail has served on the Nasher Museum of Art Friends Board, was named Chair of the Collections Committee for the Nasher Board of Advisors from 2016 – 2020 and is currently a Nasher Museum Gallery Guide. 

In 2018, she sold her dental practice in order to deepen her involvement in the arts, and founded The Art Chose Me in 2020.

The Art Chose Me works to increase access to and appreciation of the visual arts–paying special attention to engaging historically marginalized artists and communities. The Art Chose Me provides curatorial and administrative services to value-aligned artists and institutions.

Since our founding in 2020, The Art Chose Me has made a significant impact on the local arts community through curating accessible cultural experiences, providing support services to individual artists and non-profit art institutions while contributing to the economic and social vitality of our region.
